The Heart of Ilinois Chrous aspires to be a group of welcoming and affirming female vocal musicians, striving to grow musically, personally and professionally. Our chorus members build connections through music education and performance, social interactions, leadership opportunities and community service. Utilizing our Barbershop/Acapella artform, the chorus will continue to grow in membership while refining each member's performance and musical skills, building our individual confidence and forming lasting friendships.

Our chorus will be performing in the community over the holidays starting Nov. 24, 2026. Watch our Facebook page for updates. Our current performances so far are:
Nov. 24 at Buehler Home 6:30pm
Dec. 1 at Brimfield Village Hall 6:30pm
Dec. 8 at Apostolic Christian Fellowship Home in Morton 6:30 (pending finalization)
One of the best things about our chorus is our long-time and yet innovative and energetic director.
Frankly her musicality and experience is only matched by her sense of humor and friendly manner. She is the best and we love her.
It has been proven many times that choral music is good for you in so many ways! It relieves stress, releases endorphins, oxygenates the blood. It's aerobic activity. Music is something you can do most of your entire life. We focus on music education and performance.
